Hello, my name is Ryan Mei.

Professionally, I have been working in big data for the past seven years, at Liberty Mutual, Red Bull, BuzzFeed and now Facebook.  One thing I love about my profession is the ability to break down numbers to tell a story. If you have read any of my posts, you can probably sense that in the writing.

Personally, my wife and I both graduated from Dartmouth College in 2012. We worked hard to tackle our debt, and still managed to take vacations in between.

2012 - Graduated from college

2013 - Paid off $8k in student debt from undergrad, $4k in credit card debt, and purchased an engagement ring.

2014 - Paid off $18k in a car loan, and another $12k in student debt from undergrad.

2015 - Paid off $25k for our wedding, and bought a house in Los Angeles.  

2016 - Side hustled on Airbnb, and renovated the backyard DIY style.

2017 - Paid off $55k in student loans from graduate school.

2018 - Bought our second L.A property.

2019 - Paid off another $43k debt. Started freelancing for Credit Karma.

2021 - Purchased 2 more investment properites.
