Ep.33 - Adulting101 - How to Get Netflix HD/Hulu Plus/Spotify Premium for Less Than $10/month? (3 Minute Read)
Read Time: 3 Minutes
59% of American households have at least one of the following video streaming services: Netflix, Hulu Plus or Amazon Videos. The chances are, you probably already have one or are mooching off of your family or friend's account. Normally, if you get all three, it costs you at least $26, but that's without Netflix in HD or commercial free Hulu. What if I told you there's a way to get all three (Netflix in HD, and commercial free Hulu) for less than $10/month?
The basic idea is to go wholesale instead of retail. It works in the same way cell phone plans work. You pay much less, if you can get a couple people to sign up for the family plan. The optimal scenario is to share it with 3 other people. If not, there are still two more options. I will show you how below.
BEST OPTION: SHARE WITH 3 OTHER PEOPLE = $8/PERSON
- Sign up for 4 Screens + Ultra HD = $13.99
- 4 Screens
- Sign up for no-commercial plan = $11.99
- 2 Screens (they don't tell you, but it works on 2 screens just fine)
- Sign up for family plan = $14.99
- 5 accounts
Total Amount = $41/month. Individual Cost = $8.2/month.
If you don't have 3 other friends to share the accounts, you can still save a lot with just ONE friend.
SECOND BEST: SHARE WITH 1 OTHER PERSON = $19/PERSON
Netflix:
- Sign up for 2 Screens + Ultra HD = $10.99
- 2 Screens
Hulu Plus:
- Sign up for no-commercial plan = $11.99
- 2 Screens
Spotify Premium:
- Sign up for family plan = $14.99
- 5 accounts
Total Amount = $38/month. Individual Cost = $19/month.
YOU CAN STILL SAVE IF YOU KNOW ANYONE IN COLLEGE = $13
Netflix:
- Sign up for 1 Screen = $7.99
- 1 Screens
Hulu Plus + Spotify Premium
- Sign up for student special here = $4.99
Total Amount = $13/month
